This Week’s Academics
Spelling– We took our first achievement test (of three) today. We will start our
spelling program next week, with our first test on Friday. Please note that fourth
grade uses a different program and students will only be given 5 preview words to
study on Monday.
Reading– We read Mrs. Frisby and the Crow this week. We will finish it early next
week, with an open book test most likely on Tuesday.
Writing- We reviewed basic sentence structure and practiced writing paragraphs. We
will start writing autobiographies next week!
Math– We started the week with graphing review and a marshmallow tower challenge
(ask your child about this). We started switching for math on Thursday and we are
now reviewing addition.
